Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we have suspended serving a hot meal once a month on the second Sunday of the month for those in need in our local community. Check back on this website for updates when we will resume this ministry.
Our food pantry is open the first Wednesday* of each month. Our hours are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic we are asking our clients not to come to the church to pick up their food allotment. During this emergency we are delivering food to our clients’ doorsteps. We respectfully ask that you stay indoors when our courier arrives to keep you and our volunteers safe.
Due to the Corona virus pandemic, the rules and regulations for all Texas Food Pantries have been relaxed. Once the emergency is declared over, we will revert to normal registration protocols.

If you do not live in our area, we may be able to provide you with a onetime emergency distribution. Leave a message at 956-542-2012 or send an email to foodpantry@adventbrownsville.org and include the information listed above in your message. For future food distributions, you will need to contact The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley at 956-904-4537 to obtain the name and contact information for the food pantry nearest you.
* If Wednesday falls on a holiday, the Advent Food Pantry will be moved to the following day: Thursday.
