Our food pantry is open the first Wednesday* of each month. Our hours are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are located at 104 West Elizabeth Street. The Food Pantry entry door is on the 2nd Street side of the Church and can be entered from the parking lot. For information, call the Church phone number 956-542-4123 office hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon Monday through Friday. If the office is closed, leave a message for a call back.
* If Wednesday falls on a holiday, the food pantry distribution will be moved to the following day: Thursday.
How to Register with our Food Pantry:
If you live in the area we serve, you may register with the Church of the Advent Food Pantry in person during any of our regularly scheduled open dates (the first Wednesday* of each month, open hours are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM). Please bring a photo I.D. and a billing statement (such as a P.U.B. statement) that shows your name and street address for proof of residency in our designated area.
If you do not live in our area, we may be able to provide you with a onetime emergency distribution. Either come to our scheduled open date in person or call and leave a message at 956-542-4123 or send an email to foodpantry@adventbrownsville.org and include the information listed below in your message. One of our Food Pantry Volunteers will call you. For future food distributions, you will need to contact The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley at 956-904-4537 to obtain the name and contact information for the food pantry nearest you.
